With the help of our partners, we are able to offer our customers a broad product portfolio of raw materials for a wide range of applications in the field of paints, coatings and inks. Applications include waterborne paints and coatings, solvent-based systems, printing inks, powder coatings, liquid coatings, inks, dispersions and compounds. Our products include, additives, colorants, binders, fillers, solvents, surfactants and waxes. A specialty in the area of colorants are fluorescent or photoluminescent pigments.

CASE Products

We offer high performance laminating adhesives for food packaging, medical packaging and industrial applications such as textile lamination, construction, tapes and labels, automotive, photovoltaics, acoustics and many others.

Our products include the full range of laminating adhesives (solvent-based and solvent-free), heat-seal lacquers, primers, hot melts, PSA adhesives, co-polyester resins, aliphatic adhesives, as well as anhydrous defoamers and phenolic Novak resins. For optimal colouring, we have pigment dispersions for colouring paper in our product range. These meet the European standards for NPE content and have a low VOC content (<1g/l).

Adhesives for flexible lamination

We offer a broad portfolio of raw materials for the agricultural, food and animal feed industries. Due to decades of experience in these areas, as well as careful supplier selection, we can offer innovative products in addition to classic raw materials. These comply with current trends such as recipes without palm oil as well as required quality criteria and certifications, for example E551a/E551b, Kosher, Halal, GMO free, HACCP.

Wax products are also part of our portfolio. They are understood in food and agricultural applications as processing aids and formulation additives in many different processes. They are used as inert carriers for colours, active ingredients and fragrances, for example. They also enhance hydrophobic properties or act as sealants or release agents, depending on the type of application. Likewise, other properties such as better consistency, improvement of film-forming ability or as a temporary processing aid are achieved by adding wax emulsion products.

Our portfolio in Cosmetics & Pharmaceutics includes products such as paraffin waxes, white oils, petrolatum and silicones. They are used in application areas such as skin care products, sun protection, cleansing milk, hair care but also in decorative cosmetics. Other applications range from shaving foam to hot and cold depilatory waxes. In the area of silicone oils, we work together with Schill + Seilacher as a partner in Austria.

Our Rubber & Latex products are used in a wide range of applications such as automotive, architectural, coil Industrial, inks + coatings, resins, injection, molding, plastic film polypropylene, fibers and PVC. Our products include defoamers, additives, plasticisers, waxes, phenolic-novolak resins, colour pigments and dispersions. In the field of additives, we have been working successfully with Schill + Seilacher as a partner in Austria for many years.

Additives for Composites, Polyurethane, Rubber + Latex

HDS Chemie has a broad product portfolio in the field of construction chemicals. This includes products such as defoamers, vinyl acetate homo- and copolymers, phonol novolak resins, colour pigments and dispersions as well as titanium dioxide. High product quality and competent advice are among our strengths. We are large enough to serve multinational customers worldwide and at the same time cater to the needs of small and medium-sized customers to ensure that every customer receives the product that fits their requirements!

In the Wood & Timber division, we have wax emulsions in our product range, which are used in various wood-based material palettes as well as hydrophobing agents and weather protection for wood surface and cut treatments.  For wooden toys, we offer standard-compliant wood paints and varnishes according to EN 71-3:2017-10 and EN 71-9:2007-09. 

As adhesive dispersions we offer vinyl acetate homopolymers, vinyl acetate - ethylene copolymers for paper, cardboard and wood.

For the hot melt adhesive industry we offer special waxes: Fischer-Tropsch hard waxes have been successfully established in metallocene polyolefin copolymers and EVA-based hot melt adhesive formulations. As they are highly pure, they can be used in the formulation of hot melt adhesives intended to come into direct or indirect contact with foodstuffs. Furthermore, we offer biodegradable waxes in granular form, which are used in many industries due to their excellent properties.

As adhesive dispersions we have vinyl acetate homopolymers and vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymers for paper, cardboard and wood in our product range. Our phenolic novolak resins are characterised by high heat resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance and high strength. Our other types of phenolic resins have good flexibility, high mechanical strength and good friction properties. 

In the field of additives, we work together with Schill + Seilacher as a partner in Austria. The product portfolio include flame retardants, additives to increase tackiness (Tackifier) and impact strength (Toughener), flexibilizers as well as bio-based polyester resins

In the area of plastics, our portfolio includes masterbatches and additives, colour pigments and dispersions, titanium dioxide, fatty acids and fatty alcohols on a vegetable basis and Fischer-Tropsch hard waxes. In the area of masterbatches and additives, we have been working successfully with Tosaf & Tosaf Color Service in Austria for many years. In addition to their Universal-Masterbatch, the masterbatch as universal carrier, as well as the tried-and-true UN standard selection, they also produce customized polymer-specific solutions for the most varied applications.

We work together with Schill + Seilacher as a partner in the PU sector in Austria. Schill+Seilacher, a global player in the production of additives and specialty processing agents offers amongst others a comprehensive product range of polyurethane additives used for applications in various industries. Products made from these materials can be used as isolation material in construction industry, in many applications of car industry, in the production of seating and upholstery furniture but also in the manufacture of mattresses and in many other production fields and markets.

We offer compounds for technical textiles and process chemicals for pre-treatment from KAPP-Chemie in Austria and CEE. Our portfolio also includes wax emulsions. They are used in the areas of sealing textile substrates, modifying the friction properties of fibres, yarns and sewing threads, improving the performance of finishing compounds and improving fabric properties. 

Our product range also includes white oils, petroleum gels, biological waxes in granular form, and special chemicals on a vegetable basis such as fatty acids, fatty alcohols and technical esters. In Austria, we also distribute the silicone additives from Schill + Seilacher as a partner.

Whether fabric softeners, detergents, industrial cleaners or disinfectants - we offer a wide range of excellent raw materials that are sustainable, efficient and safe, especially for the detergents and cleaning agents sector.

In the tissue sector, flexographic printing inks and glues from KAPP-Chemie, especially for the hygiene industry, are the main focus. In the field of perfume oils and essential oils, we successfully cooperate with Düllberg in Austria and CEE. Here we offer products especially for surface cleaning, textile care and room fragrance creation.

Home & Industrial Care

Our partner AB Biotek is a producer of yeast and provider of associated technologies and integrated fermentation solutions to the global alcohol beverages, bioethanol, animal nutrition and human nutrition & health markets.

For decades, our partner IFF (Genencor) offers amongst others a wide range of advanced enzymes (liquefaction, saccharification, fermentation, isomerization) used for grain & carbohydrate processing (bioethanol, food and beverage applications).

We also have innovative defoamers for the biotechnology sector in our programme. Consulting and process support are part of our service.

For composites we offer solid polymers. These are beads of vinyl acetate polymers and homopolymers for solvent-based, extruded adhesives and composites.

For flame retardants, additives, flexibilisers and bio-based polyester resins we work together with Schill + Seilacher as a partner in Austria.
